Before filling, clean containers with dish soap and water. Rinse completely. Sanitize using 1 tsp of unscented bleach per quart of water, coating all surfaces. Rinse again thoroughly before filling.

- If your tap water is chlorinated, no additional treatment is needed.
- For untreated water, add 2 drops of unscented bleach per gallon.
- Tightly seal and date each container; store in a cool, dark area.
- Replace every 6 months unless using commercial preservatives.
